Thoughts on this stove so far..
So you know, I am totally happy with my NOMAD stove. I don’t mind carrying those 20 pounds for 2 or 3 kilometers into the woods at all. Its worth the fantastic fire view and cozy ambiance that it gives to my tent.

But sometimes its nice or actually necessary to hike for 10 kilometers or more to inaccessible hidden nature gems and camping spots, that you can only get to by using your own two feet.

That’s when the Titanium fastfold stove is absolutely perfect for the job. At only 4 pounds weight, it is so light that I barely notice it in my pack.

During my multi day test, it heated the small shelter up 40c with incredible ease, even though some nights where well below zero outside. I tested the burn time with two small logs. They became coals in 1 and a half hours with a full hot burn. I never did this while the shelter door was closed, way too hot for me.

By adjusting the dampers I got a cozy 20C / 68f for more than double the burn time shown in the video.

Also the CO and smoke alarm never made a sound during the entire trip. That said and just to be safe, no matter what stove I use, I never go to sleep without making sure the fire is out. I don’t fully trust any alarms and always rely on my sleeping gear for warmth while asleep, not stoves.

Cooking on it? I think the cooking done on this video speaks volumes to this woodstove’s versatility . Cooking pizza outdoors is awesome! Using the stove to grill Shish kebab wrapped in bacon is even more awesome.

Anyway, this is NOT a review. That will come with time and heavy use as usual.

Made with ultralight titanium, the Winnerwell Fastfold Titanium Tent Stove is highly portable and incredibly lightweight at just 4 pounds. Titanium can withstand much higher temperatures than steel, allowing this stove to be made from very thin material that keeps weight and pack size to a minimum. The high heat transfer efficiency of Titanium allows these stoves to effectively heat small shelters in very cold conditions and hold hot coals for hours.

Assembly Tips:

The chimney pipe is made from a single sheet of very thin titanium. It rolls width wise for storage and length wise to form the pipe. The first time you roll the pipe into shape can be a bit tricky. However, after the first burn, the fire will heat set the shape of the pipe. So on subsequent uses the sheet will have ‘memory’ of the shape and essentially roll itself into a pipe. The first time you roll the pipe, we recommend using length of 2” PVC pipe as a form, and have someone help you, working from both ends. Simply slide the rings over the pipe approx. every 18 inches to secure the form. Avoid wrinkles and creases in the pipe if possible, as these will be heat-set permanently after the first burn. The same principle applies to the stove body—take care that the stove body is assembled as square and straight as possible prior to the first burn as the stove will also be heat-set.
